I agree with some of the other reviews posted on this site. The principal is a great guy who has alot of respect for the students. As for the teachers here, it is just a job to them. Nothing more. Most of them are rude and should not be teaching anyone. I feel alot of them are unqualified and have no compassion for children.

Mckell Middle is an OK school. As stated in many other reviews, it has it's flaws. The principal (Don Harrison) is a great guy and has great respect for students who obey the rules and do their best. Many teachers at this school are uncaring and unqualified to teach. Not all teachers are bad though. Some really do care about their students and earn their respect. One thing McKell does need to do is have advanced students in advanced courses. Many very intelligent students are put in advanced coures but unintelligent and undetermined students are put in those classes too.

McKell Middle School is a great school...if you are one of the select few to be deemed worthy. My daughter has been treated badly by the staff even though she has all A's and B's and works hard in school. Teachers have talked about her in front of other classes and with other students. The teachers in general at McKell have little respect for any student that doesn't fit into the mold, regardless of academics! My daughter inquired into joining several clubs, but she was discouraged from doing so because she 'just didn't fit in', or so the teachers said. Beware of this school and its teachers...unless you are one of the perfect 'McKellites'. The middle school of the othe end of GC, WMS, has its problems, but at least the teachers respect and accept all students regardless of their family, finances, or looks!

This school is not at all up to standards. The teachers need a lesson in student respect. This school should be inspected by the health department and sat in with child services during times when students are in the office. Students are intimadated by their principals and teachers and are treated with great disrespect.
