I think the school is a good school and helps alot of kids get credits and lets them work at their own pace. -T.J. Lynch

I am most disappointed with my experience thus far. The disciplinary system seems to be geared to drive students out. There are students, who just last year were had little to no disciplinary problems. Yet this year the afore mentioned students have been 'written up' as many as four times in one day. According to McCREARY COUNTY SCHOOLS CODE OF ACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR AND DISCIPLINE, a student can be expelled after a series of 'write up's'. That sounds reasonable until you realize that students are 'written up' for talking, which goes on the same list with disorderly conduct and other more serious offenses. In closing, this freshman academy idea is out of control. My recommendation to other parents; run, don't walk away from the freshman academy.
