I believe ward elementary is a very good school for our children. The teachers and principal are very invovled with the students, and by what I've seen they are down to earth and not so anti-social with the parents. I as a parent would not send my children anywhere else but here.
Ward Elementary has a very positive influence on the lives of the students in the area. The faculty and staff, for the most part, grew up in the area or in the county. The teachers and staff have a close working relationship and collaboration is practiced faithfully Everyday. No one is sitting and grading papers for a living. We have many educational opportunities available if parents and students will take advantage of them. These include Afterschool and InSchool ESS, Family Read Night, many reading programs, Math labs, and Summer School programs. Many of these programs offer one on one instruction. Our parents are some of the best around! They are always willing to volunteer and many are extremely active in the community and in our school. We are proud of our school and invite anyone to come and see us at work.
