I cannot say enough good things about this school - Great teachers, a lot of parental involvment and nice kids. My children really enjoyed going here. The teachers and principal are wonderful. They really care about the students.

I am the proud mom of twin girls in kindergarden. I couldn't be more pleased with the learning environment and attention Providence provides for my girls. My girls are in seperate classes and both teachers do an excellent job keeping my husband and I informed on the girls progress. My husband and I plan on moving next year and we will make sure to buy our next home within Providence's school district. The principle is just as involved with the students and is more than willing to work with parents and/or keep them informed about important issues pertaining to the school. Providence gets an A+!

About the tests

In 2010-2011 Kentucky used the Kentucky Core Content Tests (KCCT) to assess students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 through 12 in reading, social studies, science, writing, and math. The Elementary School results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for grades 3 through 5 combined for each subject. Middle School results are for grades 6 though 8 combined, and High School results are for grades 10 though 12 combined. The KCCT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Kentucky.
