My husband went to WB Muncy and now our grandchildren go there. It is the best school in the county. The Principal, Todd Horton is the best, he is always there to listen and help with any problem you may have. The Teachers & Aids are the greatest, they go that extra mile to help each & everyone of the students, no matter is they are 1 of the smartest or 1 of the Special Ed kids. They mean the same to all of the WB Muncy Teachers & Staff. I wouldn't want my family to go anywhere else.

My son attends school at WB Muncy and I think that this is the #1 school in Leslie County. I attended Hyden and my husband attended Hayes Lewis and from our experience we choose WB Muncy to for our son and daughter to attend...Hats off to the staff there, they are great!!

This school offers the best all around education any child would need. I was a student there and now my daughter attends. The academics of this school is outstanding. W.B. Muncy also offers sports of all kinds, after school programs, and many other things children are interested in. This is a parent friendly school, where parents are encouraged to visit and know what their child is doing.

About the tests

In 2010-2011 Kentucky used the Kentucky Core Content Tests (KCCT) to assess students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 through 12 in reading, social studies, science, writing, and math. The Elementary School results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for grades 3 through 5 combined for each subject. Middle School results are for grades 6 though 8 combined, and High School results are for grades 10 though 12 combined. The KCCT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Kentucky.
