Wurtland has improved greatly in the last 3 years. The academic team is amazing and makes us very proud. Just because one child passed at one school and then failed at wurtland does not make it a bad school. There are good children and bad in every school. Im sick of people moving their children to other local schools because of sports and then acting like Greenup Schools are horrible with education. If you dont like our schools then move out of our districts!!!!

We at WMS have made great improvements over the last few years. We have adopted a new discipline code(KYCID). We have made great improvements on our CATS Test scores and have improved on student and parent pride. Our CPS Team was state champoins and ranked 4th in Internationals and our Girls Basketball were champoins. We are improving at all areas and are expecting a even brighter future

Wurtland Middle School has focused entirely on decipiline. It seems that most female students are listened to, while most male students are pushed aside. Teachers at WMS have developed attitudes much like the students. They do not hesitate to hurl insults back and forth with the students and parents. Most every school packet sent home with WHS students is focused on the many ways a student will be diciplined. Teachers also do not seem to care about grades of the students. If a student is not naturally gifted to learn, the student will be overlooked. WMS could be a wonderful school. It is sad that it has lost its way.

Wurtland Middle School is all about discipline and very lacking in education. I am trying to get in contact with school personel about my son's grades as I write this and the school will not respond.

My 3 children all have been here, and i have to say, compared to their previous long-time school boyd county middle, this is ridiculous!! two will be going to gchs this year, and i pray it's a big improvement!! i repeatedly called and was in contact with counselors about tutors and etc. No help was given!! 2 of my children were on the honor roll at previos school, and the last 2 yrs at wurtland, these same two, one failed, and the other barely passed! this definitely shows there is major problems!!!
