Awesome faculty and staff! The students are model citizens of the community.
I am a sub teacher and have subbed in eight different parishes since 1992 witha ph.D js a ucoin elem has the best dispcipkine and safe envoirnment any parent could ask for...The principal comes outside to lead the children in the pledge of alliegance and a moment of silence..The fauculty even the janitors are kind, caring, compassionate about the charges (children) entrusted to them by parents..I have not seen this much concern at john curtis or jesuit high school ! St mary parish s best kept secret is js aucoin..I am proud to be on their sub list.....Their students should be reclassified as angels....
J.S.Aucoin elementary is the lost jewel of St. Mary parish. The school has about 250 students, young, passionate teachers, and a family-type feeling amoungst personnel. Our school has a high vietnamese and hispanic population and we have been recognized nationally for our outstanding ESL program. We value the students and their success and cannot help but feel personally involved with their acheivement.
