I agree that this is not a good school. Another website lists the student/teacher ratio as 13, but it is actually 22 students to 1 teacher. Many of the teachers scream at the students. The afterschool program is horrible. The teacher sits at a desk in the cafeteria and screams, "DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!" the entire time while the kids run around and play. Unless your children are used to a "zoo-like" environment, this is not the place to send your kids. I plan to work with my child over the summer, and then switch to a better school for the 2011-2012 school year.

This is a very poor school. There is talk of a state takeover of Catherine Strehle, and I really hope this happens. Many of the teachers and half of the staff are unprofessional, rude, and clueless. The teachers constantly scream at the students. It's impossible for students to learn anything in this environment, and the LEAP scores prove it. The scores have been low for years, and now the teachers want us parents to step in and help them save their jobs. Our kids have suffered enough, and I'd like to see the state come in and clean house. I am pulling my kids out of this school, and hope to get them back on track quickly at their new school.

This is a terrible school. It's full of rude, unprofessional, lazy teachers who spend all their time screaming at their students or gossiping with each other. Many of them should have been fired a long time ago. There is one woman who works in the office who has no clue what customer service is; she is beyond rude, and clearly hates her job. I pulled my 3 kids from this school because their grades fell so far behind. Don't send your kids here!

Rude teachers; always yelling at the students; the 3 times that i went to school to eat lunch with my child there were school fights in the cafeteria; my child didn't learn anything that year; my other child is now behind at his new school.

My kids have been attending Strehle since pre- k. It's was a great school before the redistrict happened. They use to have a lot of activities and field trips for the kids through out the school year. But last year they only had one field trip and no in school activities for the parents to get to know the teachers. Hopefully this coming year will be better.

This school is wonderful. My daughter is not even in the district but I got a permit cause I wanted her to attend this school. She's been going here since she was three in the pre-k 3yr old program and I wanted her to continue going here. The teachers are great and the overall environment in the school is just wonderful.

I love this school! My child is in Pre-k and is already learning how to read. The teachers and the principal are very kind and know how to get each student involved. My daughter really enjoys going to school and is doing great. Thanks!

My son is in second grade and has been in this school since pre-k and he has had very good caring teacher's every year. My son has ADHD and dyslexia his second grade teacher (Mrs.King) has done every thing in her power to help him get the help he needs to stay at level with the other second grade students. I believe in this school and in it's teachers.

I pulled my child from this school. This is one of the worst schools I have ever seen. The teachers do not care about the students' grades. I moved out of the neiborhood so my child could get a better education.
