I am a new administrator to St. George Catholic School. I am inspired daily by the St. George community. The spirit of kindness and compassion are demonstrated everyday, throughout the day. Each day I am impressed by the dedication and caring nature of the teachers and staff and the rigor of the instruction they share with our students. Each day I am proud of the hard work and determination our students demonstrate. Each day, I am fortunate to be a part of such an excellent educational institution.

Both of my children currently attend this school. My youngest son has a peanut allergy which the school and his teacher were aware of. His teacher allowed him to eat a snack from an unknown source which contained peanuts without reading the ingredients resulting in my son being rushed to the emergency room in a potentially fatal condition. I discussed the matter with the principal the next day at which time he had not even discussed what happened with my son's teacher. Neither the principal nor the teachers or staff expressed any concern regarding my son's health and took absolutely no proactive measures to ensure that the situation never happens again. Their attitude and lack of safeguards and concern are unacceptable and I have begun the process of researching alternative schools.

I've been at St. George since kindergarten and am now going into 8th grade. St. George has prepared me for many challenges in the future. The teachers are amazing and have helped me reach many of my goals. Our church is very loving and considerate to the needs of each and every student. My faith has grown tremendously with the help of our church and teachers. I can't thank St. George enough for everything they've done. The years I've been here were the best of my life and I will never forget them. Ms. Bankston was the best teacher ever!! :)

As a former student of St. George I have to say my years at St. George were the best i have ever had. I learned from some of the best educators possible. I enjoyed the athletics especially Volleyball and cheerleading. Other athletics are to say the least the best in the city. St. George has left an imprint on my outlook on life and my values and i highly recommend it.

Coming from a parent who's had 10 years experience in the St. George school community, I'd say that St. George rates high in excellence. They have numerous athletic, music and art opportunities, high academic standards to continuously challenge the children yet keep learning fun, exceptional disciplinary guidelines, many fun activities for the children throughout the year and excellent communication with parents. St. George has helped my children develop into well rounded individuals seeking high moral values and understanding their spirituality more fully. I wouldn't change anything about the path we've chosen for our children in their elementary years.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
