This is our 15 year old son's 1st year and Hope Academy. We noticed a difference in him after 2 weeks of being there. He has been there now for nearly a year and he is doing incredible! He never used to want to go to school or do homework but now he gets up on his own and does his homework immediately when he gets home. He was rarely social but now he is a social butterfly. He assist in the school store and Kid's Kafe' which are two incredible projects that help our kids prepare for the real world. They had two dances this school year and never would we have thought he would dance let alone go! When we came for our tour before we started, we were so impressed with how happy and friendly the children were there. They would get up and shake our hands! If you have a special needs child you should really give this school a chance. Our son has done a complete 360! This school has changed our lives. Thank you Hope Academy Teachers and Staff for everything you do! I would give you more than 5 stars if I could!

How fortunate we are, here at Hope Academy, to have the flexibility and cooperation of the administration to truly address each child's needs. Every day I have the privilege of witnessing the genuine affection of the faculty and staff toward the students as they celebrate the "little" daily achievements and triumphs, as well as the compassion shown on those days or moments when the only action needed is a moment for redirection.

I cannot begin to say how much of a postive change Hope Academy has made. My 14 year old daughter has advanced socially and for the first time in her life she feels good about herself when the school day is over. Everyone from the teachers to the staff are wonderful and have made my family feel like there is hope for a happy and independent future.

My special needs daughter thrives at this school. She is normally very shy, but is very comfortable here. The love and tenderness that Hesse teachers show our kids is truly a gift. We had tried numerous schools to try to meet all of her needs, but we found our permanent home at Hope.

My son was a terrible student in public school due to learning disabilities that the schools made no effort to accommodate. He was often depressed and felt "stupid" and worthless and had few friends. Hope Academy has changed his life. He is learning again, enjoying school, and isn't being held back in other subjects because of his learning difficulties in mathematics. He has friends and feels good about himself for the first time in years. The teachers take a personal interest in each child and have time to work with them due to the small class sizes. I only wish we had found Hope Academy years ago.

terrible they made us leave because we could not shadow our son.. How can they be a school for disabilities and not have the recourses to help them? We had to take our son out because we could not shadow him everyday.. we both work

Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas are fortunate to have Hope Academy. It is amazing to see the progress children at Hope make in academics, social skills, behavior and confidence levels. They are treated with kindness and respect but expected to work hard. The teachers and principal really "get it" when it comes to the children they serve. They also constantly look for ways to improve the quality of the school. The small class sizes are just what our kids need. Keep up the good work Hope!!

Fantastic school. My son has been there for 3 years after leaving the public school system which had no idea of schooling an austic child. The entire Hope staff reaches out to each child, they are caring, always thinking of ways to improve the learning for the special need children. If Hope academy didn't exist I have NO idea of where my son would attend school.

Hope Acadmey is a wonderful school that has provided an education unlike any other in the whole state of Louisiana, for special needs children. With Award winning teachers and great leadership through their principal, Hope Academy not only needs this money but truly deserves it. Please pick this school.

This school has made a huge impact on my nephew's education. Before Hope Academy, it was all my sister could do to get him to school in the morning. He was NOT getting what he needed from the public school system. Thank God for Hope Academy for actually giving these kids what they need - a great education backed by a learning environment that encourages and supports growth in each and every child
This is a school for children with special needs and exceptionalities, it doesn't matter what your special challenges are the staff at this school goes way above and beyond their duties to ensure that your student excels to the best of his/her ability. Classes are small giving your child the individual attention that they need to succeed. They have a 'multi-level' system which lets your child work at their own level in different subjects, they may work at a 4th grade math level while still working on a 2nd grade reading level so as to not hold them back in the subjects in which they excel which boosts their confidence keeping them more interested in their learning. They teach more than 'the 3 R's', they also teach life skills through experience and making it FUN for the kids. It truly is a wonderful school! The staff works very hard to make sure each student gets the special attention and tools that they need to learn. They also offer on site many other individual services, like occupational therapies and physical therapies that you may need. The y even teach you, giving you access to opportunities you may not have heard of, or considered. I cannot say how much I appreciate all of them and their hard work and what a blessing they have been to our family. They really do care about our children and go the extra mile. I might even mention that their tuition is very reasonable compared to other (I d like to say other schools like Hope, but there aren t any other schools like Hope), private schools in our area. I highly recommend them for your family too!
