I have been nothing but pleased with this school. The administration is constantly striving to improve the school and quality of education. The small teacher/student ratio ensures that no child gets left behind. No child at this school is negelected academically or socially and the negative comment left on this sight is totally baseless.

Anyone moving to or living in the Central area should give this school a visit. My family has been a part of the Starkey family for many years now and I have absolutely no regrets. Like any school, there have been bumps in the road, but the Starkey family continously strives to ensure that our children are not casualties of the EBR public school system.

I am the parent of 2 children who have graduated from Starkey Academy and I was blessed that both of my children received excellent education there. One is a college graduate & the other is enrolled @ SLU. They also have not had any problems in college with their respective curriculums. I would and DO recommend Starkey Academy to children of all ages.

This is a fantastic school. My child actually enjoys going and has learned so much. The elementary staff is excellent this year and really seem to care about the students' well being.

My kids went to public school after 6 years at Starkey and was completely lost. says a lot about a private school that you pay money for! Would not waste any more money there! Don't get me started on the Administration there and watch out for the school board members they talk about you bad if you are not in their click! Nothing is private about this school just a bunch of non working moms talking about how perfect their kids are and how bad the other kids. Don't waste your time.

Superior pre-school program. They use the High Reach curriculum and even include lessons in Spanish. All this in a small, safe environment. My daughter loves it here!

Starkey Academy is a wonderful school. They are consistently looking at ways to improve their school. We have been there for many, many years and have been very happy. The teachers truly care for the students. The classes are generally small. I wish there were more students for athletics, although the high school usually turn out pretty good teams within their district. Starkey continues to provide a safe, friendly, family atmosphere.
