I love this school. Sorry to see old principle leave but happy new principle is just as caring. Great resource teachers! Helped my son out alot and really showed concern of his problems and progress. (Will miss you!) Patient and really wants your child to do good. The dean is a bit difficult but not so much where there are any problems. Just keeping the school running smoothly. I love the open door policy. This school encourages parental involvement as even has a special day for dads called the Best Man's Luncheon. The best part of this school, I think, is how the present teachers seem to confer with the former teachers of my boys for a heads up of strengths and weaknesses, therefore making sure my boys and the teachers both have a little jump on whats to come. We are moving next school year and will be sorry to go!
Thank you so much --AUDUBON! A great school, the best teachers and staff, very clean environment and most of all the care that they have for the children. I am glad that we chose to come to Audubon Elementary -- I brag about the school all the time. Keep up the good work! Have a wonderful summer -- TEACHERS, STAFF, etc.
Audubon is the best school that my kids have attended. The staff is so wonderful, I have never seen a principle that really gets involved with her students and she knows majority of them by name. If I have had a problem with Audubon my problem was resolved if not the same day the next. My children are really learning and I hope my youngest daughter has Mrs. Mayer for her 1st grade teacher because she is an excellent teacher and I would recommend anyone to bring their children to Audubon because they really care about the childrens education and they gets involved as well to try and help our children. And my children love it so much and thats the main reason we haven't moved from our neighborhood is so they can continue furthering their education with Audubon.
Great school. I see alot of parental involvement as well as faculty and staff participation.
Having my child come from a school where the principal and teachers make sure that you feel apart of their family and also that no child is left behind and then having her put into a school where all she has faced are obstacles is not an ideal environment for any child to be in. Speaking from personal experience, my child has only been hindered to grow at Audubon. I was told that this is the best school in the city and yes the test scores are impressive compared to other schools, however, looking at the overall picture all I can see are the obstacles that has kept my child from learning. I have never felt so insulted by the way my child as well as myself have been treated and it's unfortunate because Audubon will be loosing an excellent and wonderful student next school year.
I have always loved Audubon Elementary. My oldest son went to Audubon as well as his brother a fifth grader and his sister a third grader. Audubon has the most caring and understanding teachers and staff who go out of their way to make you fill welcomed. I will never forget the lasting impression that Mrs. Karen Mayer left on me when she had my two younge children in her class. Mrs. Mayer is so kind, loving, understanding and a down right spectacular teacher. Mrs. Bailey, Mrs. Cooley, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Kornuta, Mrs. Santhin, Mrs. Lee and Mrs. Washington to name a few, have made my children what they are today. I would encourage any parent to send their child to Audubon. The world's greatest school.
