It might have received 5 out of 10 in a 10 point scale probably because of not so high score from some regular program. However, the gifted program is excellent and should be rated as 9 or 8 out of 10. Most of the gifted teachers are excellent (probably one tight teachers I know does not posseses very high standard: he is little lazy). Principal is excellent!!
best school get kids ready for the real worl the gifted progam is awesom ms.stevens.
I have a child in the gifted program, and the teaching leaves a lot to be desired. The goal seems to be how much the kids can complete in a day, with no emphasis on a real understanding of the topic at hand.
My children both have attended Buchanan. The gifted academic program and the teachers are excellent. The buildings and the neighborhood are not.
