I absolutely love this school. My oldest daughter attended during her 5th grade year. It took us 5 years of trying to get her in, but it was worth the wait. My daughter now attends Baton Rouge magnet high school.
BRCVP is an excellent school. The teachers are wonderful, caring and very professional. They expect the most from their students and the students respond to that. The academic programs they offer meet the needs of the students and are preparing them for the next level of their education as they should. Parental involvement is great. The parents turn out and participate in the education of their children 100%. Extracurricular activites involve mostly music and the arts, but are just wonderful programs. This school is one of the best elementary public schools in East Baton Rouge Parish. I have children who attend and I am well pleased with this school. This school has provided an excellent foundation for my children to build off of as they continue their educations.
This is by far the best elementary school in the parish. I am very much pleased with this school and the staff. My child is in the 4th grade and I hate to see the time when she has to move on to middle school. My child has attended this school since Kindergarten and I have not had one unpleasant moment. 'Keep up the good work Mr Richterman and staff' I love you'll.. Korchila Garner
This is a wonderful school. It is more like a large family or small community. The student to teacher ratio is small. The school has ranked in the top five elelementary schools for the last several years. There is also a wide variety of extracurricular activities for the kids such as art, drama, music, dance and several clubs that the kids can join. The school has great parental involvement and staff involvement. I have had one child go through this school and currently have one enrolled. I hate to see the day when she has to move onto middle school.
I can't say enough good things about BRCVPA. It is in my opinion the best elementary school in Baton Rouge - public or private. The teachers are warm, loving and quite skilled at their profession. The principal knew my name after only one meeting! I was amazed! the extra-curricular activites offered are second to none. I was also pleasantly surprised at the good parent involvement. Overall, they have set the standard for elementary schools in east baton rouge parish. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested.
I never thought my child would have the chance to experience such great measures in life. My daughter has been going here since pre kindergarden and she loves school. I have no doubt that she will benefit from this school in the long run. My daughter loves to sing and do art, and she now wants to learn to play instruments and she is academicly very smart. I have a new baby and I have no doubt he will go here also.
This is by far the best public elementary school in Baton Rouge. Two of my children have already graduated from this school and I have another child attending it now. All of my children have benefitted from the arts curriculum. They have all learned how to play multiple musical instruments and enjoyed art, drama, and dance. My older children qualified for the gifted program after attending this school, which shows that the emphasis on academics is also very strong. I highly recommend this school for parents of children who love to sing, dance, draw, and act. The teachers are all very loving and caring. We have not had a bad experience at any grade level with teachers. The parents of students are also extremely involved. There are multiple opportunities to drop in and experience what the children are learning. The performances are top-notch. Check it out sometime.
