I Started both of my kids in K-3 at Ben's Ford and I am very pleased with this school. They could quote bible verses & count to 100 at the end of K-3, that absolutely amazed me! My son will be in the 4th grade and daughter will be in the 2nd grade next year, and they are both very bright kids, & I'm not just saying that b/c they are mine. We do sacrifice to send our kids here, as we drive about 120 miles a day to drop them off in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon, but them having a good education and Biblical knowledge is well worth the drive! Keep up the good work Ben's Ford Staff & volunteers, you all are doing an excellent job with teaching our kids not only the education, but also teaching them morals that they need to succeed in this world. Thanks for the great environment and the wonderful staff at this school! I would not hesitate to recommend this school to anyone looking to send their kids to a private school. Thanks, from the Gossett Family
We LOVE it !!!! Great Teachers & staff.... Wonderful Christian environment !!!!! My son has came a long way before going to this school.. He now has better grades and said he thought he was saved before but NOW since going there he said HE KNOWS FOR A FACT HE IS SAVED !!! How wonderful is that...... We are so glad he goes there!
This is a great school, the discipline may seem a little strict to some, but its fair to all and works good to keep this school in order. I am a firm believer that discipline or lack of is the problem with the public school system, the kids at BFCS are not allowed to cut up in class and take away from others learning. Drugs, violence, and perversion is not tolerated. Education wise it's real good, if your child has ever been in public schools you will find there to be more homework than public schools. I have a nephew the same age as my oldest son and the things my son is learning at BFCS is a grade or 2 ahead of my nephew. And if your child plays sports they try to improve sports every year when my oldest started going there all they had was basketball, and in the past 6 years they have added football, baseball, and track and and field. In my opinion if you love your child then you would find a way to send them to this school, because the public school system is not gonna change, and if you price around you will find it is probably the cheapest private school around.
This is an excellent school. The teachers are very caring. Their curriculum is outstanding, and they do all they can to help their students succeed.
My Children have attended BFCS for 5 years now and I are very pleased. The teachers truely care about the students, communicate well with parents, and the Abeka curriculum they use is wonderful! BFCS is a wonderful, Christian environment.
We enrolled our children in BFCS last year with an intent to try it out. We have been very pleased with the progress that our children have made. I love the positive environment they are in when they have to be away from home. I appreciate the values being taught by instruction and by example. We have been so pleased, our children will be returning this year (even though it is a 25 mile commute from our home). Great job to all those that care for and educate our children.
The discipline practices of this school are horrible. There is much favoritism. Some rules are enforced on some students but not on others. They say they are a Christian school, but their actions show otherwise.
I have been absolutely amazed at my childrens response to this environment. The absolute atmosphere of acceptance and caring exhibited by these children is a direct result of the example set by not only staff members, but the parent volenteers as well. Sporting events are an absolute joy to attend, filled with a spirit of good sportsmanship. And education you ask? My Pre-k student will advance to Kindergarden reading on nearly a 2cd grade level..... along with the rest of his class. But this spirit of excellence is not limited to just the lower school grades. It holds true for junior high and high school as well. If you have any doubts, call or take a tour. Talk with the students, parents and administrative staff. It's absolutely the best move I made in my childs achademic career.
This is my children's first year at BFCS. They have literally become new people. There is consistency, good communication between parents and teachers, and overall, a great environment that promotes not only education, but morals as well. Our children came to BFCS from the Bogalusa public school system. The public schools have deteriorated - beyond immediate repair I'm afraid. Although I'm sure certain frustrations exist amongst the faculty, it is never revealed to or taken out on the children. BFCS has zero tolerance for bullying, drugs, and general bad behavior. What I admire the most is that it doesn't matter 'who the parents are.' Punishment is not selective. We are a pro-education family and highly recommend this school. Our children get one chance at a quality education, it's up to us to give them the best possible chance to ensure their success.
