Phoenix is a great school with dedicated administrators. This school has been recognized nationally, by receiving a bronze star as recognized by U.S. News. Phoenix was the only school in Plaquemines Parish recognized to receive this award, and one of two local schools recognized.

Phoenix High School is a great school and it has kids who want to learn. The kids there reads books all day when they have free time.

I was appalled at the lack of ethics and strucure within the school. The teachers have no control over the children and spend more time screaming at them then teaching them. The principal and the the teachers have no idea what they are doing. The principal has openly admitted that he has no experience with young children so he does not know how to handle them. This school needs to be taken over by the state before it gets so bad that the situation is beyond repair. I have never had such a horendous experienced in my life.

This is a great school. It also is all about the books. That is what I like about it. They do have extra curricular activities but books come first.
