My child is starting on the 3rd year @ BBP. He/she is in the IEP program, He/she has dyslexia and ADHD. In my opinion the ADHD stems from the agrivation of repeated failure at his attempts to learn w/dyslexia. I have gone to many SBLC meetings along w/others in attempt to do something about this w/no success. The teachers other than the IEP,Toutors, and Recourse teachers, are not compassionate nor do they truly understand the severity of this problem. It is tearing down my childs self-esteem, and desire to learn. Something needs to be done immediatly to improve the availability of recourses, classes, and teacher knowledge of this matter. Until then I will continue to research and fight for my child.

I go here in the adult program. I have been there for 2 weeks and simply love the teachers there. A few of the teachers and administrators there are awsome and makes me want to be a teacher.

About the tests

In 2010-2011 Louisiana used the integrated Louisiana Educational Assessment Program (iLEAP) to assess students in grades 3, 5, 6, and 7 in math, English language arts, science, and social studies. The iLEAP is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Louisiana.
