I am a grandparent of three students that have and one still will attend this year. I have nothing but praises for the Faculty and staff that go above and beyond the duty! They made the transitions easier for the kids and for us. They have gone out of their way to help us time and time again with issues like, uniforms, school supplies, personal issues with the kids. As each one of our grandchildren leave this school to move to another, it saddens me and I can only hope that the other ones are following some big footsteps.
Brusly Elementary School is an excellent school. My daughter attended from K-2 grades. Now my son is in 1st grade there and I couldn't be happier with the school. His teacher is Ms. Babin and she is wonderful. Her style of teaching seems to work well for my son. He was just nominated Student of the Month. I'm on the PTO and volunteer quite a bit at the school. Mrs. Supple is an excellent principle and now they have added an Assistant Principle, Mrs. Sheila Goins. Both Mrs. Supple and Mrs. Goins are wonderful administrators and are always willing to listen to my concerns. I wish there were more shcools like Brusly Elementary in the State of Louisiana.
My daughter is in first grade. Her teacher is Ms. Ashley Babin. Payton has been at BES since Kindergarten and her teacher then was Ms. Sabra Smith. These two women have made my life so much easier. I know that when I drop my baby off that she's going to learn and be taken care of. It's like building a house, Ms. Smith laid the foundation and now Ms. Babin is putting up the walls. I couldn't be more pleased with my daughters teachers and all the staff at BES. All friendly faces and kind hearts. I am so thankful for BES taking care of my baby girl!
I am the parent of a second grader at BES. He has been there since Kindergarten and I have been very satisfied. Mrs. Kirkland was his 1st grade teacher and she was wonderful. I am especially pleased with the new priciple, Ms. Supple. I have to see him leave next year. Also, the school is very clean and well maintained.
I was so pleased with everything about Brusly Elementary School. The majority of the teachers are wonderful, and Mrs. Strauss was a terrific principal! The academic program is great and the teachers are so concerned about their students.
I am a new teacher at Brusly Elementary and think it is a wonderful school. All of the teachers are truly committed to making sure the children succeed. We are well supported by our principal and the School Board. It is a great place to be!
My name is Mike Capalare and I'm not a parent but I was employed at Bruly Elementary for the last few months of the 2002-03 school year. I came to BES hoping to find some teaching time as a substitute teacher, and I did. Once I began, I remained at BES for three months...on a substitute staus as the Disciplinary Clinic Aid. I met some wonderful teachers there at BES, the quality of teaching seemed to be very high. Every teacher I interacted with showed a passion for teaching their students. The girls and boys there were very special. Welcomed me with open arms every day of the week. I was a northerner, in a southern setting, all new to me, working with the children at BES. I loved my job there. Brusy Elementary offers an atmosphere that is friendly and safe. A good school with great teachers. I work now at a local school here where I live doing drug and alcohol awareness. I tell all my associates about my time spent at Brusly Elementary School.
Brusly Elementary is a wonderful school. Parents are very active and welcomed by the principal and faculty. We have been able to work together to provide many enrichment activities for the students that might not have otherwise been successful or even possible without the support of parent volunteers. Looking forward to another exciting year.
kindergarden teacher Hope Bonadona is a great teacher. she is patient and very good at her job.
