I have been a parent of Carencro Catholic for over 17 years. My family has been a part of the school for 3+ generations. High school teachers say that our students are the most prepared out of all the children they receive from other elementary schools. Extracurriculars include most sports, 4H, JrBeta, science and math club, etc. Math and reading scores are traditionally very high. Catholic religious formation is also very strong at CCS. Catholicism is at the heart of instruction.

After watching several family members finish at Carencro Catholic and find success in high school and college, I knew that this was where I wanted my children to attend. It has been an amazing journey for us thus far... We have watched our children grown academically, spiritually and morally into good young men. I feel that our teachers have challenged our kids to be better students and citizens. I could not have asked for a better experience. I enjoy walking on campus and always having someone to wave at or say hello to. It is wonderful to watch my boys grow and learn in leaps and bounds with such caring guidance.

Carencro Catholic School has shown itself to be progressive in the education and extracurricular activities offered students. But the most important aspect of the school is the dedication to the Roman Catholic faith and family. Traditional values are instilled in students at an early age, and they move on to feeder high schools well-prepared academically and spiritually.

As a proud parent of two CCS student, I am very excited about the changes which the school administration, teachers and students have endured over the last couple of years. All the changes were positive for the students education and improved the true Catholic tradition which is a huge benefit to our children, family and community through Acadiana. I am a true believer in CCS, the administration that is behind the scenes and not to mention, the dedicated teachers that are caring for our children every day as if they were their own. Education is top notch and the academic programs are challenging but the reward is well worth it. I am very proud to be part of the CCS family!

Carencro Catholic School is a faith-filled school that offers a quality education. The staff and teachers are dedicated to the students. Students attend mass weekly and have religion class everyday. As a parent, I am completely satisfied with the school environment and academics at Carencro Catholic!

Also the people said the secretary acts as Principal is NOT TELLING THE TRUTH! There is a Principal and this past year we had an Interim Principal. The secretary never ran the school. Again alot of parents left this school because of their small minded mentality. All schools have issues but people left for PERSONAL reasons not academics. My friend left for St. Gen and CCS was on the same level education wise. When people post on here it's needs to be TRUE FACTS! Not just mad statements from former parents.

Terrible school. The only reason to send your kid here is because the public school is just that much worse. Right bow the secretary is acting as the principle when they were supposed to hire someone qualified months ago. The staff turnover is so bad because the priest basically runs the school, so the techers are trying to please him, On another note, the priest is very creepy, crude as it may sound. Most of the other kids in my class (8th grade) admit being intimidated by him. The school is also very sexist, girls having to wear skirts on fridays and boys pants, though they both have to kneel on the hard tiled gym floor. The 8th grade religion teacher doesn't teach religion; instead she pushes her ideas of whats Catholic and what isn't onto students. This school is run by unqualified religious nuts.

Carencro Catholic is one of the best small Catholic schools in the Lafayette area. The middle school math and science teachers are both certified in secondary education, meaning your 6th - 8th grader will be able to get Algebra and possible science credits when entering high school, if they pass the exam! Last year, 100% of the 8th grade algebra students passed. CCS also has a good sports program, including a football team. This school is a safe haven and has a good discipline policy. The only shortcoming this school has is administration turnover, which also causes some teacher turnover. Overall, a good school.

This school is not up to par. I have and several other parents have had a problem with their child being two grade levels or more behind in a subject after being tested by the CAT. The only reason my child still attends, is because the public school district I am in is even worse.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
