Cloutierville Elementary School

I agree with the other parent that made her/his review of the school. Their is need for lots of improvement for this school. As a former student at the Elementary/Jr.High I think if the school board wanted it to be better than it is they would be doing some major improvements for school, students, and the faculty. It is rediculous to have to come to a school where 90% of the students don't care about their education and the 10% who do, don't get the attention that they deserve, because of the disruptive students and the teachers, that don't know how to deal with the problem students. This school needs a principle that is going to be willing to listen to the faulty and to the students also about what needs to be done about this situation. I think this would be a solution to most of the schools problems.

The school is improving but there is lots of room for improvement. Major problems in area of being overloaded with children with behavior and conduct disorders. There are no resources i.e. counselors; school nurses or programs geared to handle these disruptive children. This becomes unfair for them not to have the needed resources and unfair for the teachers to have to deal with the conduct and behavioral problems before they can teach the students who do want to learn. Lack of effective resources to deal with these problems is the biggest problem. The school has no Resource Teacher which is badly needed. The lack of this resource is unfair to students in need of same. Overcrowding of 3rd grade rooms which again limits prep for the 4th grade leap test. Kudos to the staff for attempting to provide education in a situation which needs alot of improvement and support from 'higher up's'.
