This school worries me. My children have been going to this school sense 2008 and the education being taught is not the grade level. K is more or less 1st and 2nd grade education and 1st is more or less 2nd and 3rd grade education. The teachers do not like how things are being taught but yet will do anything about it. Some teachers have a large student fail rate. One teacher in particular had 18 students in the class at which 7 were held back. If students are not understanding the work some are pushed aside so that the ones who do understand get extra attention. One thing that doesn't make sense, is a grade below 75 is failing. The only thing I get when I ask about how things are being taught is this. " We are teaching the grade level as told by the State." The STATE????

My daughter was diagnosed autistic. This school took her in and worked with her, to the point that her doctor wants her re-evaluated. He thinks she was misdiagnosed. But I know better. it was thru hard work and a steady safe environment that she thrived. The teachers cried and laughed with me at every milestone. They made me believe that anything was possible. I hated to see summer come. but they gave me tips on what they did in school and we plan on continuing at home. I have been trying to convince my friend in New Orleans who has an autistic son to move here. That's how much I believe in this school.

My daughter is in the first grade and is already failing, i don't know what to do. I think i need to change my child's teacher. She has been bringing home c.'S,d's, andf's. That is not cool . I have been helping her with her homework and even doing some first grade activities online . Maybe i'm not doing good enough, i judt wish there was some way i could help my daughter past to the second grade.

My experience with this school is a very positive one. Both my daughters were happy at KRH. The principal and teachers are dedicated and conscientious educators. General school information and classroom assignments are communicated daily to parents. Parental involvement is encouraged and appreciated. Discipline is excellent. Student safety is effectively addressed.

My son went from a school in another country that was known for it's education, to this school. This school is 100% better, if he were to be back home he would be no where near what he has learned. He is sent daily reports and calendar so we know what is happening. This is a excellent school in my view.

A horrible disappointment and sad introduction for PreK-1st to a warehoused one-size-fits-all approach to public education. Only minor effort is made to assess students' abilities and none to challenge or remediate appropriately. Library has a paltry selection of simple books. Extracurricular activites? No timely community information at all comes home, you're lucky if your child's teacher sends home a calender.
