East Beauregard is a great school. As a parent of a divorced child. I totally understand the reasoning of contacting the parent the child lives with. My children love this school. And I think they are doing great in their reading and math programs. This is just a great school to send your kids.
Well, I don't have alot to complain about, regarding the school itself. I think it's a great school, and even though it's a small school, it's still a great place to send your kids.
I think EBE is the best school in the area. The prinicpal really cares for her teachers and students. I know my children are in good hands while they are at school. I couldn't ask for a better principal and teachers for my children.
I think East Beauregard Elementary needs to work more on the students reading and math programs. Students are dragging behind and struggling to pass on to the next level. Also I do not agree with how the principal does not include both parties of a child in divorce. If custody papers are put into a childs file I believe the teacher should be aware and always contact both parties not just the parnet that the child lives with. It is very important for both parents to be involved in a childs life and to be informed of the childs education.
As far as classes, teachers, etc., this is a very good school. However, when you start to look a little deeper there are problems that are just going to get worse if not dealt with properly. Constant teasing and bullying are tolerated, alot is 'swept under the rug'. And the children's voices are never heard, unless that child belongs to someone of importance at the school. Classes are great and the kids learn alot and are ahead of most schools in what they have learned. My child has went from a C student to honor roll because of the great teachers and their willingness to make class interesting.
Our school has poor principle leadership. Problems are never solved they are only ignored. Many parents have problems with a couple of teachers being too hard on the students, treating them as if they are adults. The prinicple has ignored the complaints. The little children just entering school should not be scared and given this kind of impression of school. The teachers from 1st grade and up are wonderful. They truly care about the students, and go out of their way to help them. The school is very good school.
