Dpjh is one of the best jr highs in cenla. The principal look out for the students best intrest. They also have a national certified teacher. Best of luck to grant middle school. GO SAFARI CATS!!!!!!!
I went for two years, graduating Tuesday. I don't know what you parents are talking about, saying the principal is "questionable". He may not want to be buddy buddy with everyone, but he is the best principal I have ever had. He runs the school amazingly, never letting any children walk over others or fall behind. And I admire that. It's the best school I have ever attended. GO BOBCATS!!!
I'm a former student, and so are my parents. I absoultly loved it there. It wasn't exactly near home, but transportation was provided, and the teachers and staff are so kind and supporting. It's exceptional.
I agree, the school is good but the principal is questionable, my daughter enjoyed her first year there.
The teachers are great, the principal is not firendly but the schoolis great, my son went there last year and enjoyed it.
i love this school and think that it's the best i'v been the teachers sit and understand are needs beter than any onter school i know!!!
I have the utmost respect for Dry Prong Junior High School. My Grandson attended there in the 7th grade. I have never seen such school spirit for a small school. There was so much parental involvement at the parent/teacher conferences and volunteering to help with concessions, etc. Their rules were not so strict about the boy's hair but they kept an eye out for trouble makers. The made learning more of a games between the classes in competition and kept alot of fun in school with the learning. They were patient but steadfast in their decisions. It may be an older school building, but the school spirit keeps it alive and well. It is very organized in everything and very family friendly. I think it's the best Jr. High in Central Louisiana.
My son was a student at DPJH for his 7th and 8th grade years. Having a background in education, I was and still am very disappointed in this school. The lack of parent information is enough to make you scream. His teachers in 8th grade were wonderful. The administration is more concerned with dress code than the real problems at the school such as bullying and rude students.
I'm a former student from DPJH. Those two years were the best years I've ever had in school because of the teachers actually getting involved with activities and they were supporting of the activities we had.I do wish they would've been a little bit lighter on the dress code though. ~Smitty~
I went to the school in 1983/84 and I just pulled my kids out and moved to a different state due to my dislike and confidence in the school and school system. If it is not basketball or football it does not matter. I feel like they need to start teaching and stop worring about if a child has his shirt tucked all the way in.
