"I think that Erath Middle School is a wonderful school! If you're not signed up for EMS, then you better because there's not many, 5 STAR, schools in Louisiana! EMS loves to have new students and EMS is very strict! Mrs. Moss, the beautiful and intelligent Principle of this school, has the best motto ever,"Mrs.Moss, IS THE BOSS." The teachers great and are very serious. They might be fun from time to time, but when things are serious, so are they."

If it wasn't for the leadership, the great students, the great staff, and dissiplin I would have not got to where I am now. Thank you Erath Middle School.

Awesome school. The band director is the best. The principle is strict at times but fun-loving. The mission statement is 'Where Academic Success is the Rule for all Students'. I do not agree with principle leadership. It should be 5 stars. Teacher quality would be 5 stars if it weren't for one teacher, that I won't name.

This is an awesome school to send your child to. The band program is absolutely excellent. The band director is loved and well known by everyone. The school has many extra curricular activities and encourages the students to achieve and be the best they can be. Yes they are strict about the uniforms but it is right there in the handbook of what your child should and should not wear.

EMS has just been recognized as a school of Exemplary Growth. They must be doing something right there. If I had not known the school and after reading the first review, I would have thought the worst. But it sounds to me like sour grapes. I'm not an advocate of dress policy but it seems to be the trend nationwide. The rules are stated in writing so it's clear to everyone. EMS has a great Renaissance program that I have been involved in with 2 of my children and teachers that believe in kids and keeping in touch with parents. I think overall it's a great school. Don't let the first review fool you!

It's all about discipline the kids are discouraged from orietation frankly i want to hear the good things they plan on doing with my children not how they will be disciplined before there is ever a problem what happened to being optimistic the teachers can wear inappropriate clothing but heaven forbid my child wear a belt with a stripe on it practice what you preach.
