i would reccomend anybody to this school. I cant get my child away from this school fast enough. The bullying over at that school is wrong. Nothing is done about it no kind of disicpline. No help for the kids especially kids with a learning disabilitie. im very happy were moving back to livingston for my kids to go back to school there.
i love central nobody should have anything against this school! my children have made nothing but a perfect g.p.a of 4.0! love the teachers and staff!
I have two children that attend Central. We are military and have moved several times. The faculty at Central made this move one of the easiest. They are all very helpful and keep an open line of communication. We have been here for over a year now and do not want to leave. One of the best schools my children have been enrolled in.
Rude, Disrespectful, inconsistent are just a few that come to mind when dealing with both the teachers and administration at Central. Almost every teacher has an attitude as if they have something better to do than be a teacher. All of my kids attended Central and I can honestly say over the last 3-4 years the school has really gone down hill. They are more worried about shirts tucked in than educating and mentoring the children. When you enter the office area for any reason you are treated as very coldy by all. Glad my kids are no longer at Central
Some teachers are wonderful, and some need to be taught a lesson on patience. Teachers know that all children are not the same, but should be treated the same. They also have some racial issues that need to be dismissed
I am a happy parent of a 1st grader that attends this school. I am very informed about what they are learning, parent/teacher communication is great, and as long as i am in ascension my child will be a student there.
Both my children have been at this school for years and I can say some of the teachers are highly skilled and some are not. When I have had small problems and attempted to speak to the principal, most of time she quickly dismisses you, instead of looking into what's really going on.I feel this school has a huge lack of compassion for the children.I'll say my children's experience has been poor -fair at best.We are very involved in our childrens homework, projects, sports. But no longer will we go to mpacts meeting(aka pto)These meetings were designed for a forum for parents but when you go it is still controlled by the principal. There is a problem with bulling at this school.
I have never heard of a school like this one. They worry about what is being worn and the sports at the school. They dont care about the kids at this school.
I'm a Hurricane Katrina evacuee & placed my children, 9 and 5 yrs old, at Central based on the recommendation of family members. During the 2nd week of school my daughter was kicked several times. When I arrived at school, I was received with a lukewarm reception from an office staffer. When I spoke to the P.E. teacher on duty at the time of the incident, I, immediately understood why this kind of behavior is not taken seriously. She was complacent & almost sympathetic towards the bully. Not sure what remedy was taken due to privacy issues. Last week, while my 5 year old & his female friend walked along the grass, a student yanked him to the ground & hit his friend in the chest. Also, last week, my daughter came home upset because the same student hit her again...during P.E.! Our old school had zero tolerance. I am amazed.
I am very pleased with this school. I belive each child is encouraged by the teacher to do the best they can. They are very organized, involved and do the best they can for the children. They work as a team and one on one if needed. I am very well informed of everything that goes on at this school. I do plan on staying in this school district until my girls move on to high school.
