Having grown up in Hackberry and graduating during the 80's, I'm very pleased with how HHS has stayed true to it's roots. My children attend HHS and I'm very pleased with the school. I wish there were more classes for my high schooler to take to prepare him for college, but the trade-off is more valuable. He is in a small class and for the most part all of his teachers are very committed to their students. I think the school focuses too much on sports though. The elementary used to be the best in the parish, there are some weak links now... But the school is going to a 4 day week and I think it will attract more dedicated teachers.
