My son attended this school last school term and he loved it. I also appreciate the teachers knowledge of student's needs. This a geat school however I wished it went to 12th grade or had schools that were in comparation after 5th grade

I would highly recommend this school. I have had two children who have attended this school and have had outstanding teachers. The principal and the staff, especially the secretaries, are so friendly and helpful and will always be willing to do whatever is needed. I have appreciated the outstanding education that my children have received here.

I have three children who all have attended Pittman Elementary. Pittman is a great school with the highest amount of certified teachers in the Jefferson Parish School District. My children have been given the opportunity to excel and have all recieved an education which has promoted them to the honors level of learning. The prinicpal of Pittman has done an excellent job of enforcing discipline while creating a pleasant environment for the children. She runs a tough ship but all (teachers, parents and children) benefit. The parents of Pittman students are also a very important part. There is about 70 to 80% of parent participation. At Open House and School events or activities, you cannot find a parking space which shows the parents are involved. I would recommend Pittman to any parent with elementary age children!

This will be my daughters second year at Pittman and I love the school! The teachers are very concerned about there students and take time to help your child and the school has alot of parent involvement activities that are very important to the students. I wish this school went to the 12th grade it is really a great school.

Pittman is a really great school, and my childs teacher Mrs.Toncrey is wonderful. When my child does her homework she knows exactly what shes doing, and sometimes has to teach us. She never complains about mean teachers and barely ever needs help. I leave saying Pittman is wonderful.

My child is in first grade at Pittman and I have to say that I am very pleased with his teacher. His teacher's name is Ms. Gomez and she has supported my boy and given him a lot of positive reinforcement. She is not afraid to tell a parent what she truly thinks and she says it with such concern and understanding. I think that many teachers could learn from Ms. Gomez on how to handle parents and children. She gets an A+ from me. I can tell she is a wonderful person as well. Not only am I pleased with Ms. Gomez but also with the school in general, everything seems in order, done professionally and handled very well by the staff. They seem very patient and willing to always help. They all deserve much praise. I thank God for teachers like Ms. Gomez.

Pittman, what can I say, I could not ask for a more concerned staff, they know our children even when they have not had them in thier class. PCC president is so awesome, we provide her and the faculty with alot of parental involvement. Sprinf fairs, field day, birthday lunches, spirit days are always a blast. Children that move on still come back to visit their old teachers, and comment on how much they miss the school. Ms. Bernard, who could ask for a more devoted pricipal, in and out of school. No matter the sitiuation you can always count on support from our school. Debra Donovan
