A few years ago I posted how great this school is. I now have to change that. There are too many kids in one class and policies have become ridiculous. Due to budget cuts the children's education is suffering. Tutoring was cut down to 2 months only; teacher are overwhelmed. I will be very glad when my child leaves this school next year.

I am 24 years of age, but when I had migrated to the U.S. with my family, the first school I had the privilege of getting enrolled in, was A.C. Alexander. The teachers there made sure no child was left behind, in learning and growing up in a safe, yet fun; educational environment. I remember my P.E. teachers were the best and made gym class so fun. My teachers instilled in me, a practice of guidance and working hard. To also think for yourself. I thought the uniforms were great idea because deciding what outfit to wear to school was a very tough decision:) I praise this school and the teachers that opened the door for further education. I am now at The Ohio State University, studying to be a nurse. My family moved to Ohio, summer of ' 98. The fourth grade was the last grade I completed at A.C. Alexander. However, I will always have with me the attributes of this great school!

My three girls attended three years and words cannot express how much they enjoyed being there. Mrs. Jenks is the perfect principal. She believes in hard work, strong discipline, and lots of love. She treats parents with respect and encouragement, and makes each family feel like the most important family in the school. The teachers are kind and loving, and the students are worked to their full potential, without being overwhelmed. What I didn't notice until I left the district was how wonderful the students and their families are. There is no bullying, no teasing. Poor kids don't even know they're poor, because they are not treated any differently. Our newer school has test scores just about as high as A.C., but many of the kids are just plain mean. Administration does their best to keep them in line, but at A.C. Alexander, you never even have to worry about that!

Good school, friendly teachers and ambitious principal. Teachers ae cooperative with me, Mrs. Jenks is serious about decipline and education, she runs a tight ship in a good way. I regret moving to another school.
