5 star------for principal, staff, and teachers
i just recently enrolled my son here and i am very satisfied with our decision!
My husband and I moved to Youngsville because of this school district. Three out of four of my children attended here. They have zero tolerance of others that interfere in the education of their peers. The teachers are patient, and in my opinion, take the time wih each student as they express their needs. The Councelor has an 'open door' policy and the faculty is exceptional.
Comeaux is a pretty good school. Even though its hard work, most of the teachers do prepare the students for the teacher. The band and colorguard is amazing too.
My daughter has done very well at this school. She takes all honors classes and has been thoroughly challenged. She enjoys attending this school and has a high opinion of her teachers for the most part. She attended three years of private school for Jr. High, but we chose Comeaux over the private High School. We are so glad we did. There are many quality programs and electives available. The staff is friendly. There is a good parent organization in place and I strongly encourage all parents to be involved.
My son will graduate from Comeaux next Spring. I am a teacher so I know what he should be exposed to and has been taught well. His advanced courses have been demanding and there has been no giving away grades as far as I can tell. I wish the discipline was stricter. I do not feel a private school education would have given him much more for the money. Many Comeaux grads go on to college and professional careers.
My child attended Comeaux High 9-12th grade. She then attended LSU and earned a degree in English. She was well prepared for college. Her study skills were excellent. She is now working on her masters degree. The hard work at Comeaux paid off. They gave her extremely difficult assignments. This family owes a lot to Comeaux. I get upset when parents say the public schools are not up to par. There's not a private school I could pay to do the job that Comeaux did.
