My review pertains to the new elementary school. The school now houses pre k through third. I am so glad my child has only one year at this school. Next year they will move on to the upper elementary. My child is in third grade here and the school is just so unwelcoming. Some teachers in that grade are just so unfriendly. I guess you could use the term snobby. Their actions and expressions speak loud and clear. They will speak sometimes and other times just completely walk over you. They won't even say "hello" or "good morning". They avoid as much contact with parents as they can. Parents are very unaware of what's even going on in the classrooms. My child says most of the time the teacher will tell them to do workbook pages and just sit at her computer the whole time. Homework will pile up in their folders and the teacher won't even check to see if its done. Much of the other staff is just as unfriendly. It's just a very unfriendly atmosphere over all. I loved the old South Elementary. This school doesn't even compare to the way thing use to be for South Beauregard Elementary.

This school is absolutely incredible! It's located in a perfect place to raise your children. It is in a country setting, and everyone is very friendly and very helpful. Teachers and the principal really know their kids and genuinely care for them. When my son was in kindergarten, his teacher worked on a scrapbook for him and all his classmates all year long; at the end of the year she gave one to all parents full of pictures and special projects made specially for each child. And even though it is in a small town, the standards are very high. The curriculum of this school is outstanding and well above the majority of schools in the larger surrounding cities. I can't say enough on how wonderful this school is. It is very comforting to bring your child to a school so connected and involved in the student body. Unfortunately we live in a society today that isn't very safe anymore. But when I drop my precious angels off at SBE, I am comforted that I am not just "throwing them to the wolves", and feel okay to leave them for the day to learn and grow.

My son has attended this school since kindergarden and is now in 3rd grade. He compains everyday of getting bullied. I have had numerous conferences to resolve the problem and no one seems to care or do anything about it. We have also had to put him in a resource class because the teachers wont take the time to answer any question he has. No one seems to care about the kids that struggle with their schoolwork, they only care about the ones who make straight A's to make their school look good. I wouldnt reccomend this school to anyone, not even my worst enemy. No child should be treated like they arent good enough or have to think that no one at school cares because they arent as smart as some of the other kids

My husband went to school here and my children now attend.. This school is great, the teachers are wonderful, and welcome the parents with open arms.. I wouldn't put my children at any other school.

The school's motto is 'Where Children Come First' The teachers are excellent and really listen to the parents. If you have a problem with a teacher speaking with the principle solves that problem. All of the staff is friendly and really enjoy parent involvement. They have a parent volunteer program. My children have done very well there.

I cant imagine anyone giving SB a bad review. And the bad review on test scores being 'not so hot' is simply false. SB is one of the highest ranking in the state and continues to rise. My Kids are the 3rd genration from our family to go there. I highly recommend this school !

My 1st grader is doing very well at SBE. I have been fortunate for the last two years to have awesome teachers. When I do have concerns about my child, I feel very comfortable either writing, calling, or visiting with her teacher. She listens and takes into consideration my concerns and suggestions. When I walk down the halls, most teachers who aren't involved with my child are friendly and welcoming. I recommend SBE to anyone who asks.

My son attended the lower grades at south beauregard. It was a very stressful time for him. When i spoke to the teacher, all she could do was tell me how tired he made her. She told me i should have more kids to solve his problems. The teachers in each grade level do not work closely with each other. Children in different rooms get a different degree of education because the newer teachers are left to flounder. This is a school i pulled my son from as soon as i could. Test scores are not so hot.

My Husband and I are raising our Grandson who attends South Beauregard Elem. School. We moved to this area so that he would be able to attend this School District. Never before have I seen such caring people, from the Principal, Teachers, Office Workers, Bus Drivers and other staff at the school, all of which are involved with the students and really care about them. My Grandson is now in the first grade, and his Teacher is doing a very good job with these children. The same goes for his Teacher last year, who has been teaching at this same school for over thirty years. The school plays a big part in the community, their motto is Family and Education. This is a community where the parents are very involved in the school, and I am proud to be able to help, and work with these caring people.
