I don't feel that MTE did everything that they could for my child. My child was having a hard time from the very beginning of the school year. I had numerous meetings with my childs teacher and there was never any kind of resolution to the problem. Not until the end of the year did I find out that there were special programs that could have helped my child. The teacher never brought it to my attention. She only told me that there was tutoring but not for his grade level. Apparently there was a program for him, but when I heard about it and talked to her about it, she said that it was too late to enroll my child ; that he wouldn't be able to join until next year. He already failed his grade for the year. I am very disappointed in the 'no child left behind' clause.
My son has had a wonderful first year at this school in kindergarten and an amazing teacher (Mrs. Duke). I could not have asked for a better experience for my son. He is already adding and subtracting in math and can put words together and read sentences pretty well. This is our first foray into the public school system and I would highly recommend this school.
My children and I love this school. The teachers are wonderful. There is so much parent involvement. Some volunteer so many hours that they should be on salary. This is what makes this a wonderful learning envirorment. If a child has special needs there is always a place for them whether it be in speech, voyager reading programs, friendship groups, gifted & inclusion classes. There is always a place for every child where they are given the assistance to help them thrive.
I'm very unhappy with this school. Like one of the other reviewers, they are not very helpful when it comes to trying to get academic help for your child. I personally have been trying all year, jumping through hoops, and here we are at the end of the year and my child still hasn't been helped for academic problems.
This school appears to be in a state of confusing! I feel that special needs children are not given the needed mainstreaming when they present the least amount of difficulty. there are too many parents in the office runnning the show and having access to confidential information. This has been a difficult school to become a part of - I truly hope they make efforts to become more parent-oriented in terms of valuing the parent's relationship
I am extremely pleased with Magnolia Trace. My daughter is entering second grade this fall and her last two years there have been wonderful. There are classes that support all academic levels and overall the school is run very well.
Magnolia Trace is a true treasure! The teachers are there for the children and always go the extra mile. Plenty of parent involvement.
Excellent school, very organized, high parent involvement. Offers talented art, drama, music lessons.
the level of parent involvment is high - great art program - academic program is outstanding.
My two boys have been thriving at Magnolia Trace. The staff is excellent and truly look out for the best interest of the students. There are special programs to make sure each child is growing to the best of their ability. There is an unbelievable amount of parent envolvement at the school which makes it truly a wonderful experience for the whole family. I would suggest this school to anyone seeking a quality education, and a nuturing envirorment for their child. Hats off to all who make this school the success it is!
