We moved our high school student to River Oaks this July. After experiencing the environment we decided to moved our 4th grader to River Oaks in October. The academic level that is 'expected' from our children challenged them to 'expect' better from themselves. The opportunities available for every student allows them to thrive as an individual giving them confidence to succeed on every level. The parental support is UNBELIEVEABLE - exactly what public school is missing, ITS ALL ABOUT THE KIDS. We are so grateful to be part of this school, our only regret, we waited so long to do it.
I couldn't be more comforted on how well executed this school really is.
My daughter graduated from River Oaks a few yes ago and is now studying in Paris, France. The academic foundation she recieved from RO was exceptional.
As the River Oaks counselor, I get to see behind the scenes each and every day. I can't say enough about the caring teachers, outstanding headmaster, concerned staff, and awesome students. I am very lucky to work at such a quality school. I am comforted by the fact that my three children will attend a positive institution with college-prep classes, an outstanding faculty and staff, and a family environment where eveyone looks out for one another. We are truly 'striving for excellence in the academics, arts, and athletics' ,and I, as the counselor at RO believe we are accomplishing our goal. Go Mustangs!
We have 2 children who graduated from River Oaks. Both began with the Kindergarten and we cannot imagine them ever attending any other school. We hear our children talking about their school experience with others who attended large public or private schools and it confirms our belief in this school. Sure any place that has more than one human involved will be subject to different points of view, no where is perfect, but this place is the perfect place for children to grow in knowledge, build great character, form lasting friendships, learn real life lessons, excel in any sport as well as become part of a family, the River Oaks family.
Awesome school, quality of the teachers is what stands out with me. Worth every penny.
This school has been wonderful for my daughters. The student teacher ratios are excellent and they get exposed to a computer class, PE, Spanish, music, and art and they are only in the 1st grade and pre-k. I would hate to think of them going any where else.
Absolutely *wonderful* school! My child excelled not only in academics, but also in the arts. I feel she is a more well-rounded individual who will go extremely far in life. I can't say enough about the headmaster and administrators, either. Excellent Staff! Do not hesitate to place your child in this college(and life)-preporatory institution.
