I am the grandparent of a soccer player at Catholic High School in New Iberia, LA. I wanted to take this opportunity to say what a pleasure to meet not only the well behaved and courteous kids on the soccer team but also the parents and coaches that visited our stadium on Friday Feb. 7th. I do believe that a good time was had by all. I even found myself hollering go Eagle's (oops) . You have a great group of young men just thought that someone should let you know these kids represent your school well. Have a great day!

I am a former student at this school and I recommend it to anyone looking for a great education centered around Christ and his teachings. The teachers and administrators do follow the motto of Preparing Youth for Time and Eternity. I will be sending my children here as soon as they are old enough to attend.

My daughter has been in private school since pre k 3 and OCS is where she will be until she graduates. The teachers and the staff honestly love these kids and the kids love them. When I drop her off in the mornings her safety and well being are in their hands and i could't think of anyone I would trust her with more.

We thought this to be a good academic environment and challenge for our chilf. Our child essentially was unchallenged for two years. So we moved in order to find a better system (now in one of the top 20 secondary systems in the country). Addiitionally, the curriculum forces a student to either choose the arts or sports. When your child wants to do both the system is not flexible enough to facilitate that. A small school mostly about the money. Once they were told we would not return we received absolutely no support form the adminsitration.

OCS has the type of academic atmosphere that every school would love to have for their students. There is not a better educational environment in North Louisiana. The teachers and staff work together along side the parents to reach the potential of each and every student in the school.

It is an absolutely wonderful school! The teachers treat the children like family, the really want them to learn and grow. They make school fun, they involve the parents. It is one huge community and we are all working toward the same goal...our children's futures. We have never had a bad year, or a bad teacher. We have only had great experiences and memories at OCS, and I would tell anyone to send their child there for a great education. We love OCS!!!

My daughter attends OCS and has since KG. The staff at OCS go the extra mile to make sure the children are taught and nurtured and many of the teachers have children or have had children there which is a testiment to what the teachers themselves think of the school. I am easily able to see my daughter grow socially and mentally all the time. Parents are urged to participate in school activities and communicate with the staff on all issues. A strong school with proud traditions and a fantastic record and programs.

OCS is a great school. I recommend that you call the school and take a tour for yourself. It is a very caring school and your children will get a great education. It is small enough that you will get know everyone but large enough that your kids will have opportunity to get involved in all the activities they love. Check it out!

I am a grandparent to three students at OCS, and it is worth every sacrifice their parents make to send them to such a wonderful school. Our grandkids are receiving an outstanding education and background. OCS is a blessing!! Rita S.

I am not a parent, but a former student (class of '97). I am truly thankful for the sacrifices my parents made to send me to an incredbly, wonderful Christian college-prep school. The education and athletic programs have no comparison. I am forever in debt to all my teachers and coaches, because I am who I am today because of them...esp. my Bible teachers and softball coach. I have 2 children in Ouachita Christian School. Their education is my number one priority. To gain knowledge through academics and christian education from teachers who really care about them is wonderful. I am blessed to be able to send them daily to such a fine, family oriented, Christian environment.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
