This school is terrible. The teachers will write you up for nothing. A person a know got wrote up for disrespect when there was no disrespect given. He/she got yelled in at by the school disciplinary in his/her face. The disciplinary was saying that he/she was the top valedictorian of his/her class, and then threaten to ruin his/her academics because they were the higher force. After all that happened to the kid, he/she was given in school suspension, or ISS for short. Here is the child's paper he/she wrote for a homework assignment. This is why he/she got wrote up. If you read this, share it. The Horrible Teacher A teacher at a school showed hatred towards her class. All of her students know that she is an inadequate person because of her paramount attitude towards up. She said that she is the autonomous of the class room. When she said to get into collective groups, we complained because some of us cannot collaborate with each other. she made up transcribe the assignment she put on the board because she is a vindictive person. After she gave us the assignment, she disrupted her student's bladders. Some of us are taking this assigment as a reluctant project because we have a pass or fail test that following week that we need to pass. The teacher thought the assignment was a functional assignment because she thought we would do it unstead of the test. So now we have to depict virtual things in the book that we don't need in life.

Ouachita Parish High School has everything that all other schools have, the one thing that I see as a parent that sets this school apart from the pack is the way the facility will go out of their way to help any student with any problem no matter how great or small. Parents are always informed of student progress but it doesn't stop there. If a student is in need of help, they will get the help they need from the facility to keep the grades up and parents will receive more information from the teachers themselves on ways to help their child perform better in all subjects. I could just keep going on but I think you get the point. Ouachita Parish High School, educating tomorrow's future today.

Ouachita is an excellent school. There is a sense of community at Ouachita that often is missing at other schools. The administration is excellent and is very supportive of the teachers. As a parent, I am proud to know the teachers care about the students as if they were their own children. Ouachita Parish residents are fortunate to have such an excellent school system. I look forward to sending my own children to Ouachita High.

If your child is not in sports,he or she is treated very differently. They are not considered as important.Children in sports, especially football have special treatment. I think all children should be treated equally.

I went to this school about 3 years ago and the social society is horrible! No one interacts with other groups.... The teachers are always in a bad mood and dont talk to you in a normal voice.

Parental involvement is not that great ot our school.I give our football coaching staff the highest level of praise,as well as our faculty. If you have concern for your childrens behavior at home I can assure you that the ouachita family at the school teaches not anly acedemics but pride and respect as well.

The school is good in terms of providing a very good and sound academic instruction. The students get out well-rounded and have a very good grasp of the concepts needed for them to further their education. Their parent-teacher organization is such that it is really a partnership of sorts geared towards developing the full potential of the student.

Profile Completeness

BASIC

Want to improve this school's profile?

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
