J.S. Clark is the absolute best school in Monroe. I have had my second grader enrolled at Clark since he was in Pre-K and now my youngest child is in Pre-K there too. There is no other place in the city I'd rather have my children. The only other elementary school that compares is in an exclusive neighborhood with a lack of diversity. If you believe in free, quality public education, J.S. Clark fits that bill. The level of teacher commitment and parental involvement is like nothing I've ever seen. Great school!

Although this is a Magnet School, the only difference between it and the regular elementary schools in the area, that I have noticed, is that they offer electives, have a math and science lab, and is governed by more strict rules. The administration is average in that there seems to be some discrimination of students.
