My first impression of the school was wonderful. Last year was a rough one on my son, and I was getting a negative impression of the school. However, this year is completely different and we're starting to think it was just the teacher he happened to have last year. Now I see the school in it's real essence. Disciplined but caring and nurturing of the positive esteem in the children starting with (most of) the teachers all the way to the principal. Definitely impressed!

This is my sons first year at this school and from my own eyes some of the teachers should not be teachers,I feel that some of them have no patience and compassion for the children,I want to feel that if something at school has gone wrong or bothers my son that he can feel comfortable going talk to a teacher concerning his issue, and I just don't feel that comfortable with the teachers there ...I just don't think this is as great of a school as some might think.

My children are very discouraged with what goes on at this school. Two different teachers have told my children that their specific class is the worst class the teacher has ever had in their teaching career. Is this helping a child's self esteem? I think not. Too much pressure is put on the children to constantly perform, perform, perform, in an effort to get a better school performance score on the school's report card. My children had excellent grades before they attended this school and were given respect by the teachers and administration. In the past, they were allowed to speak at a normal tone with a friend during lunchtime. This school allows next to no simple freedoms of any kind, including restrictions on bathroom usage. The teachers and administration both say they want the children to be respectful of each other; yet, when a child can't report to the teacher that something disrespectful was said or done towards them by another child without being called a tattletale. There are no PTA meetings, and I honestly believe the principal is not interested in any parental input. Anyway, the school report card speaks for itself; no monetary rewards eligibility again this year for this school.

The principal, Mrs. Davis, knows each student by name. No child 'falls through the cracks.' Each parental concern is taken seriously and is addressed in a timely manner. I wouldn't have my child go to school anywhere else, public or private.
