The teacher to student ratio is actually 1:18, give or take a few. Your child does not get 1 on 1. It is not the lack of the teachers ability, the ratio is too large. On the other hand it is family oriented. The parents are very supportive and the children are very respectful. If your child is quick with learning and has no difficulty, this is a good school for them. But if they do struggle I would consider a diffrent choice. The motto no child left behind is inaccurate. The motto should be sink or swim.

My son attended this school for two years and he had a very good experience. He was fortunate to have Mrs. Goldie in third grade and she was a very experienced teacher and just what he needed; I hope she is still teaching so that others children can experience her. She loves teaching and there are not many more like her who teach for the love of it. I didn't like the lunch because I just don't like serving fast food too often; a personal thing. I would have liked to have seen a more diverse group culturally but it is a small city and with the catholic religion dominant in south Louisiana, I think most families wanted that influence. Small classes were great! There seemed to be no real discipline problems and my son was happy and loved school.

Community ratings and reviews do not represent the views of GreatSchools nor does GreatSchools check their accuracy or verify the reviewers' identities. Use your discretion when evaluating these reviews.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
