My daughter has attended SMS since she was 6. She is now 16. This is the best place in the world. Caring teachers, wonderful school events, and a well rounded curriculum make this school head and shoulders above the rest. If you are a parent of a special needs child, do not hesitate to call SMS. You will never worry again.

We enrolled our son here after 6 years of thinking the public school was the best place for him. After the first week at St. Michaels, he was a different child. Happy, enthusiastic about school, behavior issues GONE, friends to play with at recess, and outside of school, and 100's on every spelling test for the remainder of the year! We only wish we would have known!

We reluctantly enrolled our daughter in Jan 2006. She is 17 y/o and has multiple handicaps and functions on a 10 y/0 level. It has turned out to be a rewarding experience for her. She is in the Voc-Tech program. SM has bell and vocal choirs, a basketball 'team', an EOY fashion show and upper grade dance, etc. Usually if you try out, you make the team. Boys and girl take HomeEc (microwave and sliple cooking), sewing/woodworking, limited academics. The academics are not as strong as we would like, but the emotional pressure is low. (Our daughter will always be sheltered.) Its religious emphasis isn't too heavy. Parents are really encouraged to get involved, but that's okay for us. The tuition is low (less than $4000) and the community/business support is impressive ($140,000 last year from a golf tournament and sponsor. We plan to have her there along time.
