Two of my nieces went to this school for a few years. They were given no real education. One of the teachers actually called the older one a dumb white girl to her face. I don't care what you look like, you do not say that to a child. Teachers are suppose to be there to teach you and build you up, not flat out knock you down. Too many school do not recognize the importance of recess and P.E.. This is one of them. The last year they were there instead of doing any form of exercise the p.e. teacher had them write. At lunch they weren't allowed to speak to each other. These are children. If you do not let them move around and have conversations, what do think is going to happen in the class room. They are going to talk and not pay attention because they are having trouble sitting still. Lack of resources ia used too much as an excuse for lack of caring.

Lafayette Academy leaders does not fully understand nor care about their students, the kids of our future. The kids that have the hardest times on focusing and who really wanna become something in their lives, the faculty to the principal, gives our kids the hardest times and knocks them from believing that they even have a future ahead and takes away all the hard work us parents put into them believing that they do.

This school is lacking in many resources. There is no real leadership because the school leader, not the principal, is lacking in people skills. The school claims to have low student to teacher ratio that is a complete falsehood. There are a few really good teachers there but there are many who fall short. The school facility is inadequate and outdated.
