This is a really great school it was better than my last one, but I do think they need improvements. We should get the chance to have technology like laptops in the school to help us with education and more. We could use them to take notes study and have everything we need. I like this school much more.

I will be entering my last year as a high school student and I have to say, I wouldn't want to go to any other high school in this area or even the state! The teachers are great and you know and friends with the student body. Everybody think if you don't play sports then know one knows your there. But, thats not true at all! Everybody's friend with everybody and the teaches are friends too and see you just as good as the sports players. The clubs are even fun. Band is getting bigger and more students are joining. Patterson is also a blue ribbon school. The only bad thing I can say about Patterson high is there can be a lot new changes to our campus. Like maybe like some new classrooms and GYM would be great! Other then that GO JACKS!

I'd also like to add that the track has been repaired with a new black top that is 'squishy.' It's wonderful! They worked on it over the summer and had it ready for the new Fall '07 classes/athletes! They've also added a new set of bleachers for the visiting teams fans! PHS is a great school!

I went to Patterson High School for two years and it was the best two years of my life. Patterson exceeds in sports and extracarricular activities. The students at Patterson High are more of a family than a student body. When you don't have parents around you always have a teacher or coach that will help you out. Sure, Patterson doesn't have the greatest facilities, the most money, and we can't even afford to fix the track. Patterson is growing and it takes a little time for money to come around. Despite all that look at our test scores, they're getting higher! We have a great teaching staff.

My son will be entering his seinor year at PHS in fall of 05. I have found it to be a great school. He has come out of a shell he lived in and become involved in a lot more things. The staff has always be very perfessional in their dealings with me. I went there 25 years ago and see it still a school where you can make friends that last a life time.

My child attended this school last year. I wasn't very pleased with the system. The principal was very easy-going unlike the vice-principal was a different story. Many say, 'Never judge a book by its cover.' I can say it is true. Sports can be very misleading. Why? Patterson is consider one of the best teams. Not true at all! Teachers are very stalker material because they would bother students outside of school even if they miss a day. There were always fighting, and teachers wouldn't care. Parents should rethink whether they should allow their children to attend Patterson High School.

My son is a Junior at Patterson High. The ladies in the office are very helpful. Strong English Dept., and teacher communication with parents is excellent. I have had NO problems with any of his teachers replying to emails, and phone calls. The principle is very good with strategies to help students succeed. I highly recommend PHS.

My daughter attended PJHS and we were very pleased with the quality of educations she received while there. She went on to high school and was adequately prepared to take honors classes because of her strong background in math and English. The teachers are more than willing to meet with parents, and the principals are very professional. The school building is very old and does need renovations, but what is happening in the rooms is something the community of Patterson should be proud of. All students are given many opportunities to do well. I rate PJHS A+ !

Could be a great school, however, it is very demoralizing. No toilet paper in restrooms - must ask for it in office. No weapons allowed, however, students must carry lead ball keychain a bit larger than a golf ball to open locked bathroom doors. Supposedly it is because students trash bathrooms, but it has been that way for at least 12 years - isn't it time to give them another chance and monitor it? Teachers are great, students are great. Principal nice, but member of 'coaches club' - if you are not a sports player, you don't count much. Band program in particular is bothersome to him. Sports over curriculum at all costs. St Mary Parish school system has only one gifted and talented program and that of course is in Berwick (Country Club area). 4 High Schools in a 20 mile radius gives absolutely no selection in classes! French only in Patterson.
