If I could give this school a "zero", I sure would! Terry, the principal, really doesn't know what is going on. I dropped my son off for testing and he never got tested! They had the gym open for a movie and he sat there for TWO HOURS because he didn't check in at the front. Nancy, the admin's response was "I didn't know he was here". Terry, the principal's response was "I didn't know he was here. It was dark in there. (gym).". How terrifying is that for a parent that they had no idea where my child was for 2 hours! The fact that they are disorganized as a group is just the beginning! We've been at Winona and Namaqua (I have 8 kids!) and have never EVER been treated as bad as I have from this school! Nancy got mad and yelled AT MY MOM because she couldn't get a hold of me at work. How embarrassing! This school never takes responsibility for anything but think "everyone's a winner...if we like you". I really hope if you are looking to think of a different one than Carrie Martin. What a terrible school!

The new Principal and Assistant Principal don't learn the kids names like the last Principal and Asst. They don't come out to observe recess or lunch period. It's like they stay in their offices all the time. They don't respect the teachers and they have spoken bad about previous teachers and administrators that they didn't even know. They don't understand the type of problems that our students have to overcome just to be at school everyday. wish we had our last Principal and Assistant Principal back.

I went here kindergarten through 5th. I never liked it especially the principals and assistant principal. My brother is in 4th there. The curriculum is harder than what I recall mine being 3 years ago. There are some okay teachers. The new Librarian is very nice. The new assistant Principal and Principal are nice as well. Some of the teachers I can't stand and neither can my mom. I guess that's just part of a school. The kids aren't something to be proud of. They are disrespectful, they don't care what anyone thinks , and bully to many people. In my 5th grade class a kid stole a LOT of stuff form the nice teacher so she retired half way through the year. My Mom subs there often and has been made fun of. Disrespectful students but with new principals hopeful change is coming for their not caring.

Profile Completeness

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
