it is a school of hard work and excellence.
His teacher is very patient and kind, she loves all of her students. My son comes home every night telling me something new he learned at school. They also offer an after school program called Impact. Now the other staff at this school are lacking. Office workers not knowing what is going on as far as school programs and not giving messages to teachers in a timely fashion. Also, letting children be signed out by people who are not on their sign out list. Also, they do not keep parents informed on what is going on at the school. Rules are bended for some students and enforced for others. It has its good parts but also alot of bad. Ultimately I decided that my son will be going to another school next year.
My child has attended Iberville Elementary since Kindergarten. She is now in the second grade. Her grades are very good, and I would give a thumbs up to every last teacher she has had. The school informs you of parent teacher meetings, send progress reports home to review, before the actual report card comes home, so that you may have knowledge of where your child needs help, as well as a behavior calendar, which is sent home on the daily basis. The school principle, she is always giving the kids a pat on the back for the hard work that they have accomplished. And for those kids that have a struggle, she (the principle) is always encouraging them to do better, and be the best that they can possibly be. So hands up to I.E.S!!! Teacher and staff, keep up the good work!
Parents are not welcome to observe classrooms; office staff consistently give erroneous information to parents; students are not given the opportunity to access programs/services when requested by parents; overall, school is not student-oriented! Students taught by non-certified teachers without parental knowledge.
