I can tell by the grammar used in the previous comments that this school is terrible. It's "alleviate" not "elevate" and "I constantly raves of Mrs. Poche." ? Are you serious? Enjoy your life working at McDonalds like the rest of the morons out there.

Yes, the school may have its problems here and there but this is a great school. The staff is very friendly and the sports are wonderful here. I love it.

The teachers at RMS are superb. I constantly raves of Mrs. Poche'. I was placed in a great learning environment. My grades prove it. I tell my that the teachers provide me some sort of family. Kala Poche', Bethany Oubre', Sherry Bergeron, and Michael Doiron are all excellent teachers and should remain at RMS. I was a proud to be an RMS student. One thing about it that isn't too great is the split. I miss all of my friends and great teachers especially Mrs. Poche'. -Elonah Acosta

This school is horrible. Superb leadership is not there. They want support of the community. But I'm sorry the support of our children is not there either.

Ilive inraceland and this school is clearly over crowded. The lack of school books and after school help for the kids is great. The school has great teachers and staff but parent and community envolvement is much needed!IT is agood schoolbut an over crowdwed school. I believe when this new school opens it will elevate some problems and it will also help by focusing more on a smaller groupof kids! Thus can well be the perfect oppertunity to change this schools out look!

As a high school English teacher, and the parent of a student at Raceland Middle School, I am very satisfied with the education my child is receiving there. The principal is concerned with the education of children, and is not afraid to stand up for what is right. Teachers that I have encountered are dedicated and professional. As a problem surfaces, teachers meet to find an appropriate solution, whether it be an academic issue or a behavioral issue. There are numerous extracurricular activities available to students. I am very satisfied with the performance of Raceland Middle School. Remember, we all reap the benefits of our hard work. Those who do not work hard, will not reap the benefits that are available to them.

I have been a teacher at Raceland Middle School for the past nine years and I have come to believe that RMS criticized unfairly. As most schools these days, RMS has its share of problems that the administration, faculty, and staff are working on as a family. We are a united family with the goal of giving our kids the best education that we can. We have superb leadership that will ultimately lead our school to success. I believe that we have a friendly and cooperative teaching staff and everday we pray that we receive the support of the Raceland community. It is easy to stand by and criticize an not become a part of the solution. If you are not a part of the solution then don't be a part of the problem.
