Caldwell Middle School

this school is not good with academic or physical education. Physical education is a joke. The administrations handling of issues needs alot of work and communication between staff so everyone is on the same page especially with school rules.

I find their music program to be comparable to the best schools in Terrebonne Parish. My 2 children both participate in band and received regular music instruction beginning in 4th grade. As for extracurricular activities, my students played intermurial sports, both were members of 4-H (I was very impressed with this club), and last year my daughter was in the Beta club. It sounds like their after school program operation move has a great deal of opportunities for students to enjoy themselves and extend their learning as well. I am overall please with Caldwell. I think the staff has been very consistent in terms of discipline and have a genuine interest in bringing out the best in their students. I do think there is a lack of parent involvemnet and this is evident in some of the behavior problems seen in students. I rate it average to good.

I think that Caldwell Middle School should have more programs for art, music, and extracurricular activities. Their academic programs are acceptable but they can be better. The level of parent involvement has increased and they are getting better at it. Overall on a scale from 1-10 I give Caldwell a 7.
