Loyola is very popular among private students from private schools. It has a great campus, but the academics are not very strong.
I'm still going here and I love it at loyola. The atmosphere is great and I think that I'm learning so much more than if I were to have gone to a public school. The teachers care way more than most public school teachers and the aceademics are excellent. just think about it 99 percent of the seniors graduate...compare that to a public school here in shreveport. I reccomend Loyola to anyone
The staff is dedicated to improving the students knowledge.
I enjoyed attending Loyola, but as far as academics go, Loyola cannot compete with Byrd and Magnet. I thought that I would be prepared for college after doing very well in private schools in Shreveport my entire life, but I was surprised by how much more my friends from other schools seemed to know. I liked LCP, but I think parents should know that the academics are not the best.
I am currently attending this school and I can sum my experience with one word incredible. the teachers are great the principal is nice and the sports are awesome
Loyola is an excellent school with an excellent atmosphere. Loyola combines all the aspects of high school: sports, social life, and education. In the Shreveport area, there are not many school that have these aspects. The students to teacher ratio is great; every student gets the attention he or she needs to learn. Teachers are very helpful making themselves available before school, after school, during lunch, and also on weekends. Loyola is a specacular school and is a fit for everyone. Loyola is continuing to improve and is becoming the elite school of Shreveport-Bossier.
Because of the size of Loyola, everyone seems to get really close. A family environment is created to grow together mentally, physically, and spiritually. The sports program is fabulous as well! - Robert Palmer
My daughter has attended LCP for the past four years. Being a single parent I was hesitant to place her in a school where she was not familiar with many aspects of Loyola. She had been a cheerleader since the 5th grade and was leary of not being able to qualify in such a small 'private' school. Many people have a great misconception of private schools and most of these are far from being true. My daughter loves LCP and has enjoyed each year more and more. She has cheered for the last three years and been involved in many activities. There are no limitations for any child at LCP if they want to be involved. One of the most impressive things about LCP for me was the parent and faculty involvement in every activity at LCP whether their children were involved or not parents support LCP.
I believe that Loyola is the same as a public school. The only difference is that you are paying to go school. It is a good school and the teachers are concerned and everyone is friendly. I believe this school is the same as every other school, the difference is that you are paying for school.
Parental support, teaching values, well rounded staff, strong academic commitment make LCP the institution of choice. LCP recently ranked in the top 50 Catholic High Schools in the nation. This speaks for itself and its heritage. Wether one is preparing for college, or life outside of the academic world, LCP shapes ones outlook and prepares them with the tools for success. Academics influenced by continual civic invlvement demonstrates the character needed to make it in today's society. This combination separates LCP from similar institutions that only stress academic excellence. LCP creates an atmoshpere of excellence through community and personal student involvement. College placement and scholarships accepted by the student body statistically speak of LCP's success.
