Green Oaks Performing Arts Academy

I graduated from this school and would not have it any other way,the teachers were great.We had coaches who cared for u at school and away.It was one part of my life that will forever be with me.

I am proud to say I was a Giant among Giants. I get tired of hearing all the negativity about my school. I attended Green Oaks for four years and I enjoyed every second of it. We have the best teachers in the world. They offer 100% attention to their students when teaching classes. The bond between student and teacher is something you can not find anywhere in Shreveport, La. Green Oaks is rich in its history with a little more support Green Oaks will become even better. The school prepared me for all life has in stored for me now. I am a member of the largest family in the world (U.S. Army) and Green Oaks is a major reason I have expanded my horizion and reaching for the stars. Leland Kelly, a blessed Giant from the heart

As a former student of Green Oaks and now a proud soldier in the United States Army, I am a prime example of what Green Oaks stands for. The staff at the school always strived to make sure that every student was well prepared to face the hardships of the life before them. As this is a hard job no matter where you attend school, I feel that Green Oaks is amoung the best. Please don't be fooled, with all the rumors about the school, I almost fell into the same category, but after attending I learned better. I would advise any parent that is thinking of sending their child here to be prepared to play an active roll in making sure your child is successful, this is the only way people will began to notice that Green Oaks is more than what you see outside of the school.

Green Oaks is a great high school for your child to attend. Do not go by what you hear about the school, come and see for yourself. Our academic level may be low but we do work our best to bring them up. You might hear that all we do is fight and not do work but thats wrong! We try best to prove everyone wrong and show them that we are not all about play.

I was a teacher in two other schools before I came to Green Oaks. I taught three years in one school and 4 years in another. I have been teaching at Green Oaks for 11 years and counting. This school is one of the most unique schools I have had the privilege teaching in. The administration, faculty and staff are as caring as they are qualified in their areas of expertise. Green Oaks is a school where the students are like family. Oh...and the band is truly 'off the chain!'

Green Oaks High School ia a wonderful school. I have been there for 2 years now and I really enjoy it. I transfered from Captain Shreve HIgh my freshman year and entered Green Oaks my 10th grade year. I am now a senior and will graduate in 2005 and I am proud to say that I am so glad that I left Captain Shreve because I was not getting the attention I deserved there, but now that I am at Green Oaks, I am now in the top 10 of my class and I get recognized for a lot. Also the teachers are great. They try and help everyone and not just the people they want to help like it was at CSH. I can proudly say that I am glad to be a giant.

I am a student at Green Oaks High School. I have two more years before I graduate. I love my school , no other school is better than it. Our band is off the chain and can't be touched. We have a great Rotc department. And our choir has the voices of angels. Green Oaks is a wonderful school. Its not how the school looks it what the the inside of the classroom is like.

Green Oaks is the best school in the world, if you ask my opinion. I am an Alumni of Green Oaks and I can truly say that I learned a lot. The teachers offered assistance in any way they could. The Faculty was outstanding!

I recently enrolled my freshman at Green Oaks. My daughter was very apprehensive about attending Green Oaks. We began to feel very at ease with the way the staff immediately welcomed us and pointed us in the right direction during the registration process. I have found the faculty to be very down to earth and approachable. My child and I really believe this will be a productive year.
