My children have attended Summerfield for years, one from 2nd-5th and now attends CMM and the other from first and is now in 5th and will hopefully attending CMM next year. This is an awesome school with a great faculty. The principal is one of the best in the school district. You feel so welcomed when you visit the school! The teachers are amazingly talented. I would rate Summerfield over many, many other elementary schools in Caddo Parish.

I am from GA and none of the schools in this county are wonderful. Are you people fooling yourself. Summerfield operates in an inadequate and unsafe enviorment. Summerfield allows car riders in the bus lane! Totally unsafe! Where the money goes is beyond me. All the schools appear as an eye sore and they are behind in their subjescts. This will never change as long as everyone turns a blind eye.

Summerfield is a wonderful school! The staff is great as well. I was a permanent substitute there for seven weeks, and I was very impressed. The principal is great as well. He is personable with the children and the staff. A mother could not hope for a better school to send their children in the Southern Hills area. I am getting my teaching degree at this time and I would love to teach there once I am done with school.

This school really cares about the students. I will miss it, since we moved out of state. I never knew what a great school it was til now that I am researching new schools for my kids.

'Summerfield is an awesome school' my oldest son started there in 1st grade and he's in 5th now and I also have twins attending 1st grade there now and they love it! The principle and faculty have done such a good job of keeping the parents involved and the children have many opportunities to help the school. My oldest son is in the 'Little Kids Rock' program there and the principle takes his own extra time and helps teach the kids after school and that is such a great thing. I have nothing but good things to say about Summerfield.

Summerfield runs from the ECE program through Fifth grade. There is a Discoveries and Gateway program to stimulate the above average students. They also have classes for the Special Ed students. Summerfield has an Inclusion program where a teacher comes into the regular classroom and works one on one with students who need help, but do not need Special Ed. Students are well disciplined when needed, however our principal is a big believer in rewarding both good behavior and good grades. The teachers, the administrators and the office staff have an open door policy. Due to this parents and the school can and do nip problems in the bud. Parents also are invited to eat lunch with their child at any time. Volunteers are made to feel welcome and appreciated.
