University Elementary School

I have two children at this school and i think it's great! The teachers are wonderful. The only negative is that there isn't an auditorium that is large enough for the student body. School wide assemblies just can't happen. Even though it is overcrowded the teachers and staff do a wonderful job! I would really reccomend this school.

I graduated from this school in 2007. The teachers were great and so was the principle.The only thing that I found wrong throughout my 5 years of attending this school is that the teachers treated the class clowns better than those who follow instructions and did their work.And i noticed that the PTA members children were treated a whole lot better than other students,and so was their grades compared to non-PTA members children.other than that, U.E.S is a 'GREAT SCHOOL.'

University is a great school. I am really happy with the teachers and staff.

University has been the only school, out of 4, that has really helped my special needs child. Arthur circle, A C Steere, and 2 I will not name, would not even begin to help my daughter. I would rate the special needs dept.(Mrs. Meeks) a 6 out of 5.

The office staff are not very helpful when it comes to students with special needs. Most of the teachers are wonderful. We have been very lucky with our teachers.

My oldest child graduated from Univerity today. My twins will be entering the 1st grade in the fall. I attended private schools my entire life (through college), so I was sceptical about sending my children to public school. However, University is a wonderful school and has not notch educators.

University has been a wonderful experience for our entire family. I have fourth grade twin boys and this school offers exactly what each of them needs. The Gateway program is outstanding. Parents are strongly encouraged to get involved. I always feel very welcome when visiting the school. I am so glad we chose University. I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever.

I love the school. It has great teachers and many school clubs to join. It focuses on educating and has a great PTA! My son and daughter both go to University and they love it! I recommend it for newcomers coming to Shreveport.

One more thing which is very important... Security at University is top notch! Every teacher is on their guard and their are very strict policies on entering and exiting the school. Kudos to Mr. Reynolds who is on the ball every day keeps us all in 'check' and protects those kids like they were all his own.
