Slaughter Elementary School

My kid comes home happy every day, and scored a second grade reading level at the start of first grade. Best school ever!!

I was a substitute teacher in this school and I am currently a parent of this school everything is wonderful. The teacher are so nice and pleasant to work with. They give my son the extra help he needs as he has adhd. They are very patient with him and do not get frustrated with him because I know first hand it can be difficult to get across to him. I wish that the school went all the way threw 12th grade and had the same type of teacher for those grades. The teacher are very dedicated to the students as well as the rest of the staff. The teacher are there for the students not just for a pay check like I have seen at other schools. I think other schools could learn from this little school. Respect, responsibility , manners, and accountability are enforced strongly.

i think that slaughter is a great school my kids love going there. And I know my kids are being taut great thing for life. I also feel that my kids are safe at school.I think the principal is doing a wonderful job there! i give Slaughter five stars!

I have been very impressed with this school. My daughter has had wonderful teachers and support staff. Everyone is very caring, which is key to a great learning environment.

what a great little school! Ms. Young (K) is such a gifted teacher, they made me and my son feel comfortable and his teacher made it very easy to be involved with out being in the P.T.O., we will always remember Ms. Young and will will keep her and her family in our prayers!

My child attended Bains Upper Elementary before transferring to Slaughter Elementary. The smaller setting was exactly what she needed, and the teachers and administrative staff were unbelievably supportive and communicative. She completed her first year there and is so extrememly happy and academically fulfilled. She took the LEAP this year and excelled. We only wish that this wonderful, community school went to grade 12. Kudos to S.E.S. and keep up the outstanding work!

Slaughter Elementary is just fabulous. They have a rigorous academic program. The teachers there are just excellent. The communication between parents and teachers is great. My children have come so far since attending slaughter elementary. They offer alot of activities for the children to participate in. My kids look forward to school every day and the teachers are so nice to them.

I am very happy with Slaughter Elementary. My son has been in kindergarten for nine weeks and just took his first spelling test! The program is rigorous. Communication with parents has been excellent. The PTO is very active and does an outstanding job. Students are rewarded for good behavior. Students look forward to the annual Octoberfest as the highlight of their year. This school performs quite well in the state accountability system. The school is small and safe.
