My son went to Brock for kindergarten and 1st grade. He loved kindergarten with Mrs B and she really made it a great year but when he tells someone about going to school in Slidell first thing out of his mouth is "My first grade teacher yelled at us..."

I've got a pre-k and a kindergardener that both go to this school and I enjoy both of their teachers. The staff is very friendly and well respected by each other. I do not have anything bad to say about this school. It is great! Both of my kids love to get and go to school everyday. They even try to go on Saturdays and Sundays. Thanks for still having teachers that are still out there to help the kids get smarter and not just out for a check!

My views of Brock are both positive and negative. Positive because my son has a good time in school and does well. Negative due to the lack of PTA involvement in the students academics. I understand that Brock students must share a campus with St. Tammany Junior High but they should be encouraging the students to stand out and cheer for the return of their school spirit. It is now late November and the PTA has had ONE meeting only. I attended this meeting and found it to be extremely lacking in planning skills and team working abilities. I have been volunteering with my child's teacher and so have a few other parents. Volunteering is a great way to get involved however there needs to be more PTA involvement and meetings. This school has not participated in any proactive activities to encourage financial gain for the school (ie fundraiser).
